Wavelens’ optical MEMS
Wavelens, a newly launched company, is developing not just optical MEMS, but active optical solutions designed to improve
the image quality of smartphones.
Wavelens, a spinoff of the French research organization CEA-LETI, is focusing on developing active optical solutions to improve smartphone camera image quality by integrating optical functions such as autofocus and zoom. Based in Grenoble, France, and launched in November 2012, the company is relying on a fabless business model, with a wafer-level MEMS foundry handling its manufacturing.
