SiTime raises the bar on frequency stability of timing components
 
First to offer 25 PPM total frequency stability for the same price as 50-100 PPM.

SiTime Corporation, the leader in MEMS-based silicon timing solutions, today announced that it is the first timing component supplier to offer 25 PPM frequency stability for the same price as 50 or 100 PPM. Networking, storage, consumer and industrial electronics customers can now use SiTime’s industry-leading, SiT8003 and SiT8103 programmable oscillators with 25 PPM stability to dramatically improve their system performance and reliability with no added cost.

SiTime’s SiT8003 and SiT8103 programmable oscillators are now offering 25 PPM total frequency stability for the same price as 50-100 PPM. This frequency stability specification is available over both commercial and industrial temperature ranges. Additional key features and benefits are listed below:

•    Any frequency between 1 and 110 MHz with 5 decimal places of accuracy.
•    Operating voltage configurable to 1.8, 2.5, 2.8 or 3.3V.
•    4 industry-standard packages, enabling replacement of quartz oscillators with no board changes.
•    10 times better robustness and reliability than quartz solutions
•    Standby mode, for extremely low total power consumption
•    The world’s shortest lead times – samples shipments in 24-48 hours and production lead times of 2-3 weeks.

The SiT8003 and SiT8103 are available in high volume production today. The list price for 10,000 units of the SiT8103 in a 2.5x2.0mm package, 25 PPM stability, industrial temperature range (-40 to +85 °C) and any frequency up to 80 MHz is $0.68.
