20W GaN power amp provides 30% PAE
 
TriQuint debuts the TGA2572 20W power amplifier designed for defence communications systems and fabricated using TriQuint's production-released GaN on SiC process.

TGA2572

The TGA2572 from TriQuint Semiconductor delivers 20W for Ku-band (14-16GHz) defence and commercial communications systems. Typical applications include point to point radio and communications.

Key features include 30 per cent power added efficiency (PAE); 24dBm of small signal gain; and 20W saturated output power.

Offered in die and packaged forms, TGA2572 samples will be available in early 2011.
