Discera, Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor MEMS timing technology, today announced it has named Hernan DeGuzman as Vice President of Sales. Mr. DeGuzman has over 25 years experience in delivering mission critical and high performance semiconductor technologies in sales, marketing, and engineering leadership roles at companies ranging from Space Systems Loral to Supertex.

Discera builds micro-electrical mechanical systems (MEMS) that use standard silicon processes to provide the critical timing necessary for all electronics and communications devices. The company's products deliver a smaller, more reliable, and lower power alternative to traditional quartz crystal technology for networking, computing, and consumer electronics products.
