MEMS executive congress US 2013 joins leaders from the MEMS supply chain and OEM users at two-day event.
MEMS Industry Group (MIG) will host MEMS Executive Congress® US 2013, the annual business conference and networking event for the MEMS industry, November 7-8, 2013 in Napa, CA. Keynote speakers will include Gregg Bartlett, chief technology officer, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, and Donald Jones, vice president, global strategy & market development, Qualcomm Life. Panelists and featured presenters will explore some of the most fascinating applications of MEMS technology in wireless health; mobile platforms including wearable technology; wireless sensor networks; and the Internet of Things. The popular MEMS Technology Showcase®, a competition featuring a selection of unique MEMS applications, and two new events—the MEMS Innovation Awards and MEMS Elevator Pitch Session—will complete the MEMS Executive Congress 2013 program.
“At MEMS Executive Congress, we will take a collective look into the ways MEMS adds intelligence to the applications that have now become an essential part of our daily lives,” said Karen Lightman, executive director, MIG. “Want to monitor your blood pressure or navigate your way through an airport or museum? Thank the MEMS inside your smartphone. Interested in an ingestible sensor that can help you avoid intestinal surgery? Or would you like to wear an armband that can tell you that you really did burn calories equivalent to a piece of chocolate cake? MEMS makes digital health a reality. And beyond these personal mobile devices, we see MEMS-based wireless sensor networks monitoring environmental conditions, the structural health of buildings and bridges, and so much more. At MEMS Executive Congress attendees will engage with influential, innovative speakers on these and other topics that are driving the MEMS industry forward.”
