  • Photovoltaic Technology Intellectual Property (Pty) Limited (PTiP) will officially launch the successful commissioning of its pilot production line for the manufacturing of CIGS thin-film solar modules
  • Singulus Technologies supplied the engineering technology and support for the key production processes.

The new generation thin-film photovoltaic technology was fully developed in South Africa and will now be produced at Technopark, Stellenbosch. The thin-film module includes a unique homogenous semi-conductor alloy, comprising five chemical elements. The total thickness of the active materials in the thin-film module is only 3 microns.
