Targray Technology International will introduce its M7 Aluminum Paste - a specialized photovoltaic aluminum paste for Rear Side Passivated and Locally Contacted Solar cells at Intersolar Europe, taking place in Munich, Germany, June 13th – 15th.  The new high-performance conductive AI paste is designed for use on passivated surfaces to form a local back surface field (LBSF) for mono & multi crystalline silicon solar cells.  It is ideally suited for cell manufacturers that are increasingly adopting PERC and PERL manufacturing technologies to increase solar cell efficiency.  This low laydown rear contact aluminum paste, developed by Giga Solar Materials Corporation, was created to maximize efficiency & provide excellent adhesion to passivated surfaces. The Targray exhibit will be in Hall A5, Booth #288, at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre.

One feature of the passivated rear cells is that light is more efficiently trapped within the cell.  The deposition of an oxide over the entire rear of the cell combined with a metal conductor creates a reflector structure which greatly improves the solar cell’s response to infrared wavelengths.  Targray’s new aluminum paste for PERC applications is an enabler for cell makers to benefit from this advanced cell architecture.
