The new location is dedicated to producing Model K1 sapphire crystal growers.

"Market response to the K1 grower is strong. Potential customers see our machines in full production elsewhere and are convinced of our technology,” said Matt Mede, Thermal Technology president and CEO. “Utilizing the modified-Kyropoulos method, our growers remain the most productive tool in the market with large crystal size and a short growth cycle. We also have the most growers in successful production, compared to our competitors.”

Thermal Technology says it is shipping multiple sapphire growers weekly. The new high-volume production facility allows the company to meet its customers’ rising demand for the Model K1. “The new manufacturing facility significantly increases our production capacity and improves the overall flow of our production processes. The expansion was fueled by continued growth in our Model K1 sales,” said Jim Coffey, Thermal Technology’s production manager.
