Varioptic, a Business Unit of Parrot and Datalogic announce the availability of a barcode reader and a mobile scanner with a variable focus liquid lens – Matrix 300 and PowerScan PBT9500 HP.
The Matrix 300 barcode reader features a 1.3 mega pixels image sensor running at 60 frames per second designed for high speed performance and Direct Part Marking applications (manufacturing, electronics and automotive).
The PowerScan PBT9500 HP is a 2D handheld area imager utilizing bluetooth wireless technology allowing freedom of mobility and scanning convenience capability. It can be used for several applications such as in warehouses, logistics and manufacturing.
Both devices integrate a Varioptic Liquid Lens for variable focus.
Varioptic's Electrowetting liquid lens technology enables extremely fast and noiseless variable focus with absolutely no moving parts. This ensures low power consumption, high shock resistance, and a large dynamic range that guarantees focus from 5cm to infinity.
