Vishay buys specialty resistor firm Huntington electric Inc.
Discrete IC and passive component supplier Vishay Intertechnology Inc. said Friday (Sept. 30) it acquired the resistor businesses of Huntington Electric Inc. for about $19.6 million.
The acquired businesses include Huntington, Milwaukee, Central and Mills resistors, Vishay (Malvern, Pa.) said.
"The Huntington product and technology portfolio will further enhance our broad resistor portfolio, particularly in the high power and high current ranges, as well as with resistor assemblies for industrial applications," said Marc Zandman, Vishay’s executive chairman and chief business development officer, in a statement.
