Vorbeck wins DOE competition to be America's Next Top Energy Innovator
The Department of Energy (DOE) announced that Vorbeck Materials is one of three winners of DOE's competition to be named America's Next Top Energy Innovator.
Vorbeck will be featured at the Arpa-E summit in Washington, D.C. February 27. Vorbeck, in partnership with the Pacific Northwest National Labs (PNNL) and Princeton University, is leading the effort to commercialize next generation lithium batteries incorporating graphene technology. This new innovation would realize major improvements in the performance of the batteries, enabling faster-charging, higher powered batteries for transportation and consumer electronics. Sources :
