New Sonnenbatterie makes self-generated solar power even more economical for home owners

Solar Frontier completes construction of the 150 MW Tohoku Plant

Solar Frontier, the world’s largest CIS solar energy solutions company, announced that it has completed the construction of its fourth production plant, the Tohoku Plant. The new 150 MW production plant, located in Miyagi, Japan, now moves into the ramp-up phase.


Japan offers subsidy for power storage systems at green power plants

Sustainable Open Innovation Initiative (SII) announced March 31, 2015, that it will call for proposals from the public for the "Subsidy as an Emergency Response to the Suspension of the Grid Connection of Renewable Energy-based Power Generation Facilities in the Supplementary Budget for Fiscal 2014" (Project for Helping Renewable Energy-based Power Producers Introduce Power Storage Systems).


India has reached 3.38GW of grid-connected photovoltaics

• India now has around 3.38GW of grid-connected solar installed, according to official figures revealed this week by the country’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

• Wind installations accounts for the cumulative capacity of 22.6 GW.
