MEMS Engineer Forum 2020 (MEF)

Tradeshows & Conferences

Tokyo, Japan

Due to the increasing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and on the basis of the recommendations of the local Government as well as of the responsible health authorities, MEF 2020 is cancelled.

Yole Développement invites you to join us at MEF 2020.

MEMS Engineer Forum (MEF) is a unique place operated mainly among engineers close to the MEMS technology, which is the vital key for the 21st century. We strongly believe that the key players in this field will drive the world in diversified business sectors over the next decades. Since the start of the 1st MEF in March 2009, this forum has been held annually with MEMS researchers, developers, engineers gathering in one place.

The 11th annual MEF was held on April 24-25, 2019 and drew 829 visitors for two-day programs.

The worldwide fusion and creation of the new movement based on MEMS fundamental, application, and interdisciplinary technology field as well as MEMS markets was followed up by MEMS engineers via excellent vision and skills in the forum.

Yole Développement will participate in the following:

Dimitrios Damianos - Yole Développement

Where is the MEMS industry heading?

By Dimitrios Damianos, MEMS and Photonics Technology and Market Analyst at Yole Développement

Abstract: Despite the couple of past years when both automotive and consumer markets had stagnated, the MEMS market did not recess. Indeed, many signs show that the MEMS industry is still healthy. MEMS microphones will grow in the next years thanks to the Virtual/Voice Personal Assistant (VPA) ubiquity. Robotic vehicles and other industrial applications (structural and machine health monitoring, etc) could also impact the market. RF MEMS continue to be driven by next gen networks and 5G. Sensor fusion and AI are becoming more and more relevant since many billion MEMS sensors are made per year. Furthermore, MEMS foundries had good performances thanks to industrial and medical applications, although the industrial landscape is changing with acquisitions. During my talk, I will review the market dynamics and will give some insights of the future of MEMS.

In addition, Yole Développement team will be attending with our experts on hand to answer questions and discuss your needs.
